my plan is to paint an abstract layer of designs that are branch/thorn-like then a close up of a figure - maybe I will acheive more focus this way

poem shaped today
Laughed Her Right Out
Jan 8 2008
I am onto the time of reaching and spilling.
Who knows why we do what we do
and say, think, dream and approach
the realm of our wishes now.
The wonder of light and dark
we see the eyes of care.
So we tempt the fate of our own bodies
to create in the sight of her seams.
In and out and over in patterns seen and unseen.
They reach up to the line of thought
To her
She was always over there
reaching to me and the love of life
Pain of existence is on the back
of her worried mind.
Out of the next to the right step
of things that stay put
We can count our blessings
and shine our little shine
They all told me how I saw this
Fight the stuck, stubborn pattern
I know I know how
I saw her
It is another day
We can find out the clock of our limits
Reaching forth, protecting space
Quibbling over the small
I might catch a candy
in the midst of the rain
and see the vivid lights
of the forest of life
The wet grass sticks to the handlebars
I laughed her
right out onto the paved path
so smooth with glittering specks of truth
How do you do that
When so much has gone on for so long
That the while is a chase
to comprehend myself
You get away from it to bring forth
the necessity of creation
to blind the humanity that screams
at you for recognition
If this ever stops
it will be to rest on the corner of the curb
The past flies down the road
Sight unseen
To travel where no one can go
Not even you my pretty little friend

valley of HOPE
I've given up on bananas
Yes sir! We have no bananas TODAY!
I found something way more interesting to focus my attention on:
a valley of HOPE

working to keep the insanity away....
What ever happened to this drawing? Part of an illustrated poem (something like concrete poetry).
“scraping the inside of her golden heart” is the only scrap I feel comfortable giving at the moment. It was the end of a phase in my life that ended rather abruptly around the beginning of the new year.
And what about my version of “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”? A series I started 2 years ago. Will I ever get to finish her?
Oh and the “It’s Just a Banana” triptych… Only time will tell. I’m planning on tying up these projects and starting new ones. Inspiration has FINALLY kicked in and is on overdrive! THANKS!!!!!
